1. Information we access or collect

Account and household information

Montologies uses account information needed to authenticate you, identify your household memberships, and provide household features. Household data may include recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, tasks, reward settings, and related family organization information you choose to enter.

Google account and Google Calendar information

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Montologies requests your Google basic profile information and Google Calendar permission. This allows Montologies to list calendars available to your Google account, display events from calendars you select, and create, update, or delete calendar events when you direct Montologies to do so.

Montologies does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, or other unrelated Google services through this Google Calendar connection.

2. How we use Google user data

Google user data is used only to provide user-facing calendar features inside Montologies, including:

• showing calendars and calendar events you choose to view;
• creating, editing, and deleting events at your request;
• linking meal-planning actions to calendar events when you choose that feature; and
• remembering which Google calendars you selected for display.

Google Calendar data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to build advertising profiles.

3. Storage and security

Montologies stores the Google authorization information needed to keep a connection active, including refresh-token information. Sensitive Google authorization credentials are stored server-side and encrypted before storage. Selected-calendar preferences may also be stored with your Montologies user record so your selections can follow you between devices.

Calendar event data is requested from Google as needed to provide the calendar experience. Montologies does not use Google Calendar data as an advertising dataset or sell it to third parties.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but Montologies is designed to keep credentials out of public browser code and to separate household data by authenticated household membership.

4. Household data separation

Montologies supports multiple households. Household-scoped information is intended to be visible only to authorized members of that household. Household members may share calendars, recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, tasks, rewards, and other information within their household.

5. Recipe scanning and AI processing

If a household enables AI recipe scanning, recipe images, video frames, audio, or recipe text submitted for that feature may be sent to the household’s configured AI provider, such as OpenAI, for the purpose of extracting a recipe draft. These AI features are separate from the Google Calendar integration.

Montologies does not send Google Calendar data to the recipe-scanning AI service as part of the recipe scanning feature.

6. Third-party services

Montologies integrates with third-party services when you choose to use them. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. Current integrations may include Google for Calendar features, Microsoft identity services for authentication, Microsoft Azure for application hosting and storage, and OpenAI when a household enables supported AI features.

7. Your choices and control

You may disconnect Google Calendar from Montologies. You may also revoke Montologies’ Google authorization from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents Montologies from continuing to use the revoked Google authorization.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information or Google user data. Information may be transmitted to service providers only as needed to operate features you use, host the service, authenticate users, or process a request you initiate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Montologies features or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes.
